Commemorating the Hellenic Link to Anzac - 1941 - 75th Anniversary
These events commemorate the service of the Second Anzacs - soldiers and nurses - who came to Greece in 1941 follwing in the footsteps of the first Anzacs in 1915. They fought on the Greek mainland and on Crete alongside our Greek allies. From Lemnos and Salonika in the First World War to the battles of 1941 and those of the resistance and liberation of Greece, this is the story of the Hellenic link to Anzac in the Second World War.

Congratulations
The Lemnos Gallipoli Commemorative Committee congratulates the work of the Council in putting together this great program and successfully bringing together so many community organizations and interested individuals in support of the commemorating of the Anzac tradition in Greece in WW2. The charter of the Lemnos Gallipoli Commemorative Committee is to build awareness of the Hellenic link to Anzac across both world wars. It is great to be able to assist the new Council in its important work.
Personally, I would particularly thank Tony Tsourdalakis for his work in encouraging the involvement of so many people and organizations and in preparing this impressive program.
This is a great initiative - congratulations!

We hope that this is only the beginning and will grow even bigger and better in coming years.

I urge you to view the program and endeavor to attend as many of these events as possible.

Secretary
Lemnos Gallipoli Commemorative Committee

  1. Seems like a great event. Pleased to know about it. I am working in NGO and we too organize such events for needy people. Lately we hosted an event to help for poor kids with their education at couple of event venues in LA. It was a successful event.
